Launching an attack on the Congress, TDP senior leader and MLC Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu today alleged that the Congress-led UPA government had left Andhra Pradesh in a mess by bifurcating the united state without specifying a new capital or incorporating special status for the residuary State in the A P Reorganization Act.
Speaking to the media at NTR Bhavan on Saturday, Muddukrishnama Naidu said that the Congress had divided the State for its selfish political gain, doing injustice to its citizens.
Specifically criticizing AICC leader Digvijaya Singh, the TDP leader said that the latter was giving mere suggestions after his own Party had done injustice to the State.
Terming the Party as "Make in Italy Congress", he also alleged that its defeat in the 2014 elections was due also to its involvement in a number of scams during its 10-year rule.
He asked why Digvijaya Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh were not staging dharnas in front of Parliament pressing for special status to Andhra Pradesh if their hearts bleeded so much for AP.
Launching a scathing attack on the YSR Congress, Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged that its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was trying to create differences among castes and religions.
Jagan was trying to provoke the Kapus and SCs, and was talking of destabilizing the government.
"Jagan does not want a stable government. He should play a constructive role as the Leader of Opposition, and cooperate in the development of the state," he said.
