Confirming her exit from the YSR Congress party, former minister Konda Surekha slammed party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for going back on his previous stance on the Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters in Warangal, Surekha announced that she had written a four-page letter to Jaganmohan Reddy asking him to clarify his stand on the statehood issue.
She sought to know whether Jagan stands by the decision which had been taken during the party's plenary meeting.
However, Surekha used strong words to slam Jagan. She said that a person who was accused of robbing one lakh crores of money could go back on his word, and take a U-turn on Telangana issue.
Describing YSRCP as a private business company, she said that the party belongs to integrationists.
Accusing party's honorary president Vijayamma of insulting her, Surekha said that Jagan himself destroyed the party by operating it from the Chanchalguda jail, of all places.
Surekha's letter and the press conference have confirmed that she will not continue her stint with the YSRCP. (INN)
