Senior Congress leader T Subbarami Reddy, on Friday, said that the Congress High Command has asked him to get ready to contest from the Nellore parliamentary constituency in the by-elections.

Talking to media persons after emerging from a meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi, Subbarami Reddy said that both Sonia Gandhi and Ahmed Patel, Sonia's political secretary, have asked him to contest from the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency.

He expressed confidence that he would give a tough fight to Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy of the YSR Congress, and win the by-elections with a huge margin.

Subbarami Reddy said that he was ready to contest from any constituency that the High Command chooses. (INN)
