Sonia Gandhi Will Visit Telangana, AP Soon: VHR
VHR said Gandhi had directed the party cadre to launch a massive campaign against the "anti-people and anti-farmer" policies of the central government.
Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Monday informed that AICC President Sonia Gandhi would soon visit Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to participate in different programs.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly Media Point, VHR said that the Congress president had directed the party cadre to launch a massive campaign against the "anti-people and anti-farmer" policies of the central government.
She proposed to visit Telangana and AP to participate in different programs to be organised by the local units. He expressed hope that the agitation programs would rejuvenate the party cadre.
VHR said that the Congress would expose Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inclination towards the corporate sector reflected in his resorting to anti-farmer measures.
He said that the Land Acquisition Bill was aimed at dislodging the farmers while benefiting a few select corporates.
He also warned AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of severe protests if his government resorted to the forcible acquisition of land from farmers for the new capital. (INN)
