Former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar assumed office as Chief Advisor to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the sixth floor of the Secretariat today.
Priests performed religious rituals in his chamber on the occasion, and Kumar was greeted by his office staff and officials of the Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Advisor expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for bestowing faith in him once again and giving him another opportunity to serve the State.
Kumar, who was appointed as Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister on May 9, will hold the office for a period of three years, and enjoy the rank of a cabinet minister.
