There seems to be no end to the exodus of party members from the Congress to the Telugu Desam Party in the Seemandhra region.
On Thursdsay, the Congress MLA from Kamalapuram in Kadapa district, Veerashiva Reddy announced his decision to join the TDP. He alleged that the Congress has cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh who had voted it into power twice.
Further, he held YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy equally responsible for the division of the state and for the ensuing chaos among the Telugu-speaking people.
Veerashiva Reddy said that since only TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu could bring development in the Seemandhra region, he (Reddy) was joining TDP. He said that he would work hard to ensure TDP's victory in the ensuing general elections. (INN)
