Secunderabad Violence: Subba Reddy, Others Remanded

Avula Subba Rao, the prime accused in the Secunderabad Railway Station violence case, and three other suspects were directed a 14-day judicial remand by the Railway Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday.
With this, the number of people in judicial custody in connection with the Secunderabad railway station violence case has reached 60.
Subba Rao is the owner of Sai Defence Academy, with its head office located in Narsaraopet of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
He was exonerated by the AP police earier this week, but the Telangana police still arrested him and brought him to Hyderabad, and he was formally remanded to judicial custody today.
Rao along with his associates Malla Reddy, Shiva and Beesi Reddy are accused of provoking the job aspirants and providing logistics to them.
A day prior to the incident, Rao and his associates had allegedly created several WhatsApp groups and prodded the job aspirants to take up the violent agitation. During the police custody and on questioning, Rao reportedly admitted to his involvement.
The police invoked Sections 143, 147, 324, 307, 435, 427, 448, 336, 332, 341, 120 (B) and 201 r/w 149 & 147 of the IPC, as also 145 (C), 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 174 (A), 162, 164 and 166 of the IPC, and Sections 3 and 5 of the PDPP Act & 174 of the CrPC.
