Other critically injured persons were admitted to the Gandhi Hospital, and the condition of two of them is said to be critical.
Hyderabad | 17th June 2022
One person was killed while 13 persons were critically injured during the protest against the union government's Agnipath scheme for recruitment to the armed forces at the Secunderabad Railway station today.

The deceased person, hailing from Warangal district, who was injured in the firing was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The critically injured persons were admitted to the Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad, and the condition of two of them is critical, the police said.

The government railway police who rushed to the protest site warned the protesters indulging in the violent acts, including setting railway coaches ablaze, stone pelting and ransacking food stalls on the platform, of firing if they didn't disperse. However the protestors did not relent, resulting in the firing.

A tense situation prevailed around the entire busy railway station area owing to the anti-Agnipath protests, and additional forces were deployed in and around the railway station.
