Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday 'politely' gave an ultimatum to the Union government to either form a separate Telangana state or face a 'fierce Satyagraha'.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at the party's Maha Garjana on Thursday, KCR said that the 'Satyagraha' would become fierce if the centre kept in abeyance the aspirations of the people of Telangana.
The Maha Garjana saw a resolution being passed, demanding that the centre introduced a bill in the budget session of Parliament pertaining to the formation of Telangana, otherwise the protagonists would start a 'non-cooperation' agitation.
The Maha Garjana was called to observe the first anniversary of the statement by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, in which he had said that the process of formation of Telangana had been set in motion.
KCR reminded the gathering that despite the passing of a year, the process was still yet to get off the ground. He said that the 'limit of patience of Telangana protagonists' was running out. "There is a limit to our patience," he said.
The TRS chief warned that the agitation would start with a Satyagraha. He said that government employees would start a non-cooperation movement if the centre did not accept the resolution passed at the Maha Garjana.
KCR, however, advised government employees to use judicious caution.
He added that the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee would decide on a future course of action. Earlier, the special invitee to the Maha Garjana, Swami Agnivesh, told the gathering that they must brace up for a fight, but not resort to taking the extreme step of resorting to suicides.
Swami Agnivesh told the people of Telangana that the fight for a separate state had begun over 50 years ago, and they were on the verge of victory.
Praising KCR sky high, Swami Agnivesh said that he was the uncrowned king of Telangana, and the crowning would take place soon after a separate state is created.
