YSRCP Leaders Meet CP For Permission

A delegation of YSR Congress party leaders, led by MLC and spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, on Monday, called on Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma, seeking permission for the party's "Samaikya Shankaravam" public meeting in the city on October 19.

Talking to reporters later, Jupudi said, "The YSRCP leaders have assured the commissioner that the meeting, proposed to be held at the L B Stadium, would be peaceful, and that therefore, it should be permitted."

He said that the meeting would be addressed by leaders of different political parties, including the CPI (M) and MIM. Representatives of national parties are also being invited for the public meeting.

Jupudi said that the commissioner has assured him that he would review the party's application. However, he said the final decision to permit or disallow the meeting would be taken later. (INN)
