S Sailajanath Condemns Division Of Telugu People

Sailajanath said that the living conditions of Telugu speaking people improved only after the formation of Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad | 18th January 2014
Legislative Affairs Minister S Sailajanath on Saturday alleged that the Telugu speaking people are being divided on regional lines for political gains.

Continuing his debate on the State Reorganisation Bill in the State Legislative Assembly, Sailajanath said that the living conditions of Telugu speaking people improved only after the formation of Andhra Pradesh.

He claimed that the people of Telangana, especially farmers, had been facing the attrocities of Nizam's and landlords.

Sailajanath said that there are several practical difficulties in dividing the state.

He said that some politicians want the division to establish their personal dominance.

While accusing the YSR Congress Party of enacting "dramas" on Samaikyandhra, he said that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao isn't the hero he is being project as.

He praised former Chief Minister late N T Rama Rao for establishing Telugu Desam Party to keep the Telugu pride high.

However, he said that the present TDP is working against the ideals of NTR. (INN)
