A day after firing a salvo against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Handlooms & Textiles Minister Dr. P Shankar Rao found a new target on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, Shankar Rao accused Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy of being involved in corruption on a "large-scale".
He accused the Home Minister of accepting bribes to get official work done.
He also alleged that Sabitha's corruption network is being operated by her relatives, including her son and her brother.
The minister claimed that he has enough evidence that Sabitha Reddy took money to allot postings to police officials in Hyderabad and elsewhere.
He said that he had already brought the matter to the notice of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, and that the latter took no action in this regard.
A detailed letter was sent to the CBI, seeking enquiry, he said.
The minister alleged that corruption was rampant in the state government's departments of Home, Revenue and Excise. He said that if the state government fails to take action against Sabitha Reddy and does not take measures to prevent corruption in other departments, he would launch a massive agitation from 2 October.
Shankar Rao also said he was ready to resign from his post to launch an agitation against the corruption in the state government departments. (INN)
