Minister of Handlooms & Textiles P Shankar Rao, on Saturday, once again threw allegations at Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Shankar Rao alleged that Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy has been accepting bribes in exchange for postings in her department.
He said that he has evidence to prove his allegations.
Further, Shankar Rao alleged that Sabitha Indra Reddy has been misusing her official position by minting money.
Shankar Rao also said that he has written a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on this issue. However, he did not got a favourable reply from the Chief Minister, he said, adding that he would also write a letter to Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy seeking action.
He is also planning to file a petition in the state High Court asking for a probe into the allegations.
As per the service rule, an officer must continue in a posting for 2 years, but several officers have been transferred without clear reasons even though they did not complete 2 years in a posting, he claimed.
The minister also appealed to President Pratibha Patil to extend the tenure of Governor E S L Narasimhan, which ended on 6 January.
Describing the Governor as an able administrator, he urged the President to let him continue his services for one more stint. (INN)
