The state government, on Wednesday, released Rs. 216.60 crore towards input subsidy to the drought-hit farmers in AP.
The funds have been released from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), to the Commissioner and Director of Agriculture. They will also be directed towards input subsidy for farmers of districts where crops were damaged due to drought in the Kharif season last year.
The input subsidy will be given to farmers whose damages were more than 50% of the normal yields. (INN)
