The development of the municipalities is a priority for us. There are now 142 municipalities in Telangana. For this, the municipal act and the Palle Pragathi scheme are both yielding good results. We have also allotted Rs 200 crore for the construction of public cemeteries in all districts of the state."

Eshwar too spoke abut the TRS government's commitment to development and said, "While the villages in Telangana are being developed through the Palle Pragathi program, towns will be developed under the Pattana Pragathi scheme. The government spends Rs 148 crore every month on the development of the municipalities. Our government is all for improving infrastructure by spending adequate funds.
