PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, on Saturday, demanded that the
suspension of 12 MPs from the Lok Sabha be revoked.
At a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa informed the media that he had written a letter to Parliamentary Affairs minister Kamal Nath, requesting the withdrawal of the Seemandhra MPs' suspension. He said that the suspension has sent wrong signals to people, and that it would hurt the image of the ruling party among the populace.
Botsa was non-committal on when the RTC employees from the Seemandhra region would end their strike. However, he said that the striking employee unions have proposed that the state Government take over RTC as was done in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. He said that he would forward this proposal to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The PCC chief described the indefinite fast undertaken by YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma as a political stunt. He said that while Vijayamma's fast has come to an end, YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy is beginning a new "political drama". He added that the YSRCP is not sincere towards the Samaikyandhra cause.
