TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, an accused in the alleged note-for-vote scam, abstained from attending the ACB Court today, reasoning that the High Court had ordered him not to leave his constituency, Kodangal, during his bail period.
Revanth Reddy's counsel submitted memos to the ACB Court in this regard.
Responding to Revanth Reddy's counsel's argument, the ACB authorities expressed their anger and ordered him to attend the trail on August 3 at any cost.
The other accused in the case, Sebastian and Udaysimha, attended the court.
It may be recalled that the High Court had granted conditional bail to Revanth Reddy, Sebastian and Udaysimha in the note-for-vote case.
The High Court had ordered Reddy to stay within his constituency. It had also detained the three accused persons' passports. (NSS)
