Telangana TDP working president Revanth Reddy hit back at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by asking the latter to order a CBI inquiry into the allegations made against him by Reddy.
Immediately after the House commenced this morning, the Speaker suspended Reddy along with his colleague Sandra Venkata Veeraiah for the entire budget session for disturbing the Governor's speech yesterday as soon as Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao moved the motion for suspension.
Speaking at the Assembly media point after the House was adjourned for Monday, Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister had been trying to rule the house like a dictator.
He reminded people that the state government had made the same Governor read a speech in 2014 wherein the Governor had said that the government would give Rs 10 lakhs in financial assistance and a job to the kin of the Telangana martyrs, but that the government had extended financial assistance to only 500 families of martyrs of the 1,560 eligible families, in three years now.
He lashed out at KCR alleging that the Chief Minister had failed to fulfil even a single one of the assurances that he had made in the last three years. For example, the Chief Minister had promised that he would spend Rs. 50,000 crores on dalits, but had spent only Rs. 3,000 crores till date. The CM had also failed to fulfil the assurances given to the BCs.
KCR had also failed to provide water to 6,100 villages by December 2016, but irrigation minister Harish Rao and he were speaking as if they had successfully done that.
"Mission Bhagiratha is 100% Commission Bhagiratha, and Corruption Bhagiratha. And Mission Kakatiya is definitely Commission Kakatiya," Reddy alleged, and said that greed for money was the prime motivation behind the redesigning of the projects.
Reddy demanded that the Chief Minister order a CBI inquiry into his allegations, and order a punishment for him (Reddy) in the house in case his allegations were proved false.
He claimed that his fight against the KCR family was for the well-being of the state.
