Firebrand Telangana TDP Working President and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy today lashed out at the TDP leaders in AP for hobnobbing with TRS leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
In an informal talk with mediapersons on Wednesday, Reddy faulted the strange behaviour of the Andhra Pradesh ministers nowadays of befriending the Telangana Chief Minister, asking what work the AP TDP leaders had in Telangana.
He also alleged that KCR had given a contracts worth Rs 2,000 crores to AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. How then would Yanamala allow criticism against KCR in AP, he asked.
Hurt by the AP TDP leaders' camaraderie with the TRS, Reddy said that KCR had dumped him in jail and the AP TDP leaders were now schmoozing with him. He specifically pointed out to how the AP TDP leaders were prostrating before KCR when he attended the
wedding of Paritala Sriram, son of AP minister Paritala Sunitha. Was there any need to do so for the AP TDP leaders, he asked, pointing out that whenever AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Hyderabad, no one took any note of him here.
"Did any of the TRS leaders do the same thing when they attended TDP leader Seetakka's son's wedding?" Reddy asked.
He also found fault with Payyavula Kesav criticising him, saying that the latter had been rejected by the people at the hustings and had no right to criticize him.
Reddy has reportedly been sulking ever since there were reports that the TDP and the TRS were coming together in Telangana. Lending credence to the reports, another senior leader from Telangana, Motkupalli Narasimhulu, had said that the TDP would rather align with the TRS than joining hands with the Congress. An upset Reddy had sought clarification from Chandrababu Naidu, but the latter was evasive. Since then, Reddy has reportedly been preparing the grounds to leave the TDP.
