In an unannounced event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today toured the flood-hit Buddhanagar, Maitrivanam and Balkampet areas in Ameerpet.
He interacted with the residents and reviewed the drainage system in the affected localities.
At Buddhanagar, the CM observed that the drainage canal was at a higher level than the colony road, worsening the flooding problem. He ordered immediate streamlining of the system.
Residents complained to the CM about the illegal encroachment of the Gangubai Basti pond for parking purposes. The CM instructed officials to take corrective measures and lay a special trunk line to provide a permanent solution.
In Maitrivanam, he inspected water stagnation points, called for detailed reports, and directed the implementation of long-term flood mitigation measures.
At Balkampet, the CM met locals to understand the impact of flooding and the challenges they faced. He directed authorities to act swiftly to ensure relief and safety for all affected families.
