Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today inaugurated the second-level flyover at Bairamalguda in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that his heart rate increased whenever he came to L B Nagar as some of his strongest supporters stayed in the area, and that the affection shown by the people of the area to him was humbling.
He said that the State government was striving hard to develop Telangana as a role model in the country, and that Hyderabad would be developed in tune with the population growth.
"We are highly focused on Hyderabad's infrastructure. The Congress government has taken the responsibility of getting the Metro Rail to pass through Uppal, Nagole, L B Nagar, Hayath Nagar, Owaisi Hospital, Chandrayangutta and Mylardevarpally. Moreover, it has envisaged plans for the Musi Riverfront development project at a cost of Rs 40,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore. The abandoned Musi river will be revived on the lines of the River Thames in London. The Musi river development project will be taken up on a 55-km stretch as part of Vibrant Telangana 2050," Reddy said.
He also said that the State government was preparing a master plan for the comprehensive development of the city inside the Outer Ring Road (ORR), and for the development of radial roads under suburban Hyderabad within the 354 km of the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
"The Vibrant Telangana 2050 Mega Master Plan will be conceived by taking suggestions from everyone. At the same time, I am giving a warning to all those who are trying to obstruct the Metro Rail expansion in Hyderabad. Those who are creating hurdles to Hyderabad's development should be shunted out of the city," Reddy said.
