CM Revanth Reddy ordered that Prajavani services be taken to mandals, so people would not have to travel to Hyderabad to resolve their grievances.
Hyderabad | 26th April 2026
During a meeting held at the MCHRD Institute in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today directed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and the CMO officials to bring Prajavani services closer to the people in the interiors of the State, and provide them relief from having to travel to Hyderabad or their district headquarters to resolve their grievances.
The CM instructed officials to launch Prajavani services at the revenue division level and extend them to the mandal level in the next phase.
He also said that there must be absolutely no compromise in the grievance redressal process, and directed authorities to develop an administrative mechanism ensuring that officials at all levels were available to address the grievances and complaints received through Prajavani.
Specific instructions were issued mandating that every complaint submitted by citizens be duly registered and forwarded to the relevant departments, and that applicants be kept informed about the status of their applications.
The Chief Minister emphasised that all departments should also set deadlines to resolve grievances without delay, and called for regular review meetings at both the district and State levels.
He also called for the development of a unified digital platform for registration, tracking and resolution of grievances. A real-time monitoring mechanism would also be established at both the district and State levels, he said.
Reddy said that dedicated nodal officers should be appointed for the Prajavani services at every administrative level. Specialised Prajavani wings would also be established in every district and government department, he said.
He mandated the implementation of an auto-escalation system to ensure that if a grievance remained unresolved at one level, it was automatically forwarded to a higher-ranking official. If necessary, an appeal mechanism would also be introduced, he said.
The CM instructed officials to pay special attention to pending grievances and monitor progress through the dashboard. The officials concerned would be held accountable for any delays in addressing grievances, he added.
The Chief Minister also said that decentralising Prajavani services would help reduce the burden on State- and district-level centres.
He emphasised that Prajavani services should be implemented meticulously to instill confidence and trust among the people.
For the unversed, Revanth Reddy launched Prajavani on the day he assumed office on December 8, 2023. Since then, Prajavani has been conducted every Tuesday and Friday at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. Officials from all government departments receive applications and petitions directly from the public and take immediate action.
The Prajavani program is also organised weekly under the supervision of Collectors at the district level.
