Revanth Reddy Lays Foundation Stone For Old City Metro Project
The 5.5 km-long stretch will begin at the MGBS Metro station, and end at the Falaknuma Metro station.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today laid the foundation stone for the Old City metro project, near Falaknuma.
The 5.5 km-long metro stretch will begin at the MGBS in Corridor Two (or the green line) of the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR), and end at the Falaknuma Metro station.
The project is expected to cost about Rs 2,000 crore, including road widening and shifting of the utilities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State government is committed to developing the Old City and bring it on par with the other areas of Hyderabad, and that the the development works would be undertaken by involving all the stakeholders, including the AIMIM.
"I speak politics only when the elections come. I prefer to work together for development," he said.
Speaking of the Congress' contribution to the development of Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said that it was Congress governments that had laid the pipelines for the supply of drinking water from the Krishna and Godavari rivers, and had taken up various huge projects, including the international airport, the Outer Ring Road and the IT corridors.
He said that the State government was preparing an action plan named 2050 Vibrant for the development of Telangana, and exuded confidence that the government would succeed in attaining that goal.
