TPCC chief Revanth Reddy today appeared before the police officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to inquire into the TSPSC paper leak case.
The SIT officials interrogated Reddy for one hour, and he is said to have handed over the "proofs" that he had about the case to the officials.
Speaking to media persons later, Reddy said that the people of Telangana had achieved statehood after decades-long struggle. He said that the Telangana martyrs had played an important role in the agitation, and one of the goals that they fought for was government jobs for the people of the State.
However, the officials of the TSPSC betrayed the martyrs and other fighters by failing to conduct the exams in a transparent manner, Reddy said. He alleged that the Commission had become a political rehabilitation centre under the BRS' rule, and that the ruling party leaders had interfered in the exams. He also claimed that the Commission's officials had sold the question papers of various exams like peanuts in a market.
He said that Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao should own the responsibility for the leak, and that he should be expelled from the cabinet. He also demanded that the government send the Chairman of the Commission B Janardhan Reddy and employee Venkatalakshmi to jail, and also that the government take action against all those employees who appeared for the exams.
Claiming that the key accused in the case Praveen Kumar belonged to Rajahmundry, he alleged that KCR had kept the future of 30 lakh job aspirants of the State in the hands of a native of Andhra Pradesh. He asked if no person belonging to Telangana was fit enough to work as a computer operator in the Commission even after nine years of the State's creation.
He also claimed that the head of the SIT A R Srinivasa Rao belonged to Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh.
