The Congress has decided to intensify its ongoing agitation against the TSPSC question paper leak case.
It has decided to hold a massive public meeting of the unemployed youth of the state in CM K Chandrashekar Rao's Gajwel Assembly constituency on April 25.
The party made this decision during an extended TPCC meeting chaired by the State in-charge of the party Manik Rao Thakre.
The meeting discussed the party's future course of action on several other issues "plaguing the people of the State", too.
Speaking to media persons later, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy said that the meeting had decided to intensify the party's agitation programs in the paper leak issue, and that the public meeting would be held as part of the same.
Reddy asserted that the party would not leave the paper leak case come what may, and reiterated his demand that KTR be expelled from the state cabinet for the leak.
He also alleged that a link in the paper leak case to KCR's camp office had come to the fore in the fresh development, and reiterated his demand to the State government to either hand over the case to the CBI or have an inquiry conducted by a sitting judge of the High Court of the State.
Referring to the registration of an FIR by the officials of the ED in the case, he said that the ED had registered the case following a complaint by his party.
Speaking further, Reddy added that the party would go to the public over the issues of the paper leak and the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha. He said that they would hold a post card movement on Monday across the State protesting the decision of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. A satyagraha deeksha would then be held on April 8 in Mancherial. A Haath Se Haath Jodo padayatra would also be held from April 8 to April 25, till the Jukkal Assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, the meeting decided to remove a couple of general secretaries who were skipping meetings. Reddy said that the State unit of the party would remove all general secretaries who skipped five meetings of the party in a row, and that such persons would be served notices before their removals. He asked why the party should have general secretaries who were not working for it.
