Interrogate All Those With 100+ Marks In Group-1 Prelims: Congress

TPCC chief Revanth Reddy demanded that the State government interrogate all those who scored more than 100 marks in the TSPSC Group-1 preliminary exam.
Hyderabad | 19th March 2023
TPCC chief and Congress MP Revanth Reddy today demanded that the State government interrogate all those who scored more than 100 marks in the TSPSC Group-1 preliminary exam.

He also asked the State government to bring to the fore the role played by TSPSC officer Shankara Lakshmi in the question paper leak.

Reddy also reiterated his demand that the State government hold an inquiry into the leak by a sitting judge of the High Court.

Speaking to media persons at the headquarters of the Gandhari mandal of Kamareddy district, Reddy claimed that the police had threatened to kill those accused in the paper leak in an encounter if they revealed the names of the bigwigs involved in the case.

Also pointing out that the employees of the TSPSC were not eligible to write the exams conducted by it, he asked how 20 employees of the Commission had appeared for the exams.

He added that an employee of the Commission was selected as a Group-1 officer in the past.

Targeting minister K T Rama Rao, he asked the former how he could put the blame only on the two persons accused of the leak even before completion of the ongoing inquiry.

He alleged that the paper leak was monitored from the office of KTR. He claimed that the PA of KTR had played an important role in leaking the Group-1 preliminary exam paper - the PA had links with the key accused in the case Rajasekhara Reddy, and the two were natives of neighbouring villages, he said. He alleged that KTR had given a job to Rajasekhara Reddy on the recommendation of his PA. He also said that 100 persons from Malyal mandal of Jagitial district had scored 100 marks in the Group-1 preliminary exam.

Revanth Reddy alleged that irregularities had taken place even in the 2016 Group-1 exam, and that a woman job aspirant who had appeared for the exams directly after landing in the State from the USA had got the first rank in exam, and that an employee of the Commission had got the fourth rank in the same exam. He also claimed that 25 job aspirants who appeared for the Group-2 exam in the same place had got jobs.

He also said they would argue before the High Court in connection with the paper leak case on Monday.
