Former Congress MLA Gone Prakash Rao on Sunday demanded that the Minister For Health D L Ravindra Reddy accept the challenge issued by former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's loyalists Srikanth Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy, and contest the ensuing by-elections from Pulivendula Assembly constituency after resigning as a minister.
The former RTC Chairman reminded that MLAs Srikanth Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy had challenged Dr. Ravindra Reddy to resign and contest from Pulivendula without using the name of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in his home district.
Talking to media persons in front of the former MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's residence in Jubilee Hills, Gone Prakash asked the Health Minister to stand by his words that he would win without using YSR's logo.
The former MLA alleged that Dr. Ravindra Reddy had been making baseless allegations against Jaganmohan Reddy, and many leaders were joining the Kadapa MP and openly extending support to him.
Gone Prakash Rao wondered and asked why Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was not taking action against Dr. Ravindra Reddy when he had openly challenged Jaganmohan Reddy to pull down the government.
Reacting to the discussion in the cabinet over the amassing of wealth by Jaganmohan Reddy, Prakash Rao dared the ministers to order ACB raids on the former MP's offices to prove their charges. He said that if the ACB recovered any excess money, it should be used for the welfare of the state by the government.
The former RTC Chairman asked Minister For Handlooms And Textiles P Shankara Rao to hold his tongue before making adverse comments against Jaganmohan Reddy.
