TPCC spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud today condemned the "derogatory and unparliamentary" remarks made by BRS working president K T Rama Rao against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and said that such language reflected sheer frustration and political bankruptcy.
Goud demanded that KTR apologise to the Chief Minister for his (KTR's) "irresponsible" remarks.
Goud alleged that KTR and his family, during their regime, had made numerous promises to the people but had failed to fulfill any of them. Instead, he said, they exploited the State's resources for personal and familial gains, betraying the hopes, dreams and sacrifices of the people of Telangana - particularly of the martyrs who fought for statehood.
He also accused KTR of attempting to mislead the public with false assurances and baseless claims about the BRS returning to power. "His recent comments against police officials are highly condemnable. While in power he misused the police services; now, out of power, he resorts to threats and intimidation," he said.
He added that the people of Telangana were watching closely and would deliver a fitting reply in the upcoming local body elections.
