The AP State Haj Committee on Friday repeated its call for applications for the selection of Khadim-ul-Hujjaj for the Haj Season 2011. The Haj Committee had made the same appeal last Friday.
Addressing media persons here, Haj Committee chairman Khaleeluddin Ahmed said that the applicants must be Muslim males and government servants in the age group of 25 to 50 years.
He said that the applicants must have performed Haj at least once. Preference will be given to the fresh candidates.
Ahmed added that the applicants should be well-versed in Arabic, and having sound knowledge of Haj Affairs.
The Haj Committee Chairman added that applications completed in all respects accompanying two recent passport-size photographs and photo-copies of all required documents should reach the Haj Committee before April 11, 2011. Applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected. The candidates will have to produce originals at the time of interview.
The Chairman further said that the candidates will be selected region-wise based on their place of work.
The selection will be subject to the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. As per the directions of the Ministry of External Affairs, 15 per cent of the Khadim-ul-Hujjaj will be reserved for the employees of AP State Haj Committee and AP State Wakf Board.
