The Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee will start distributing Haj application forms throughout the state from March 16th, 2011, through the voluntary Haj Societies present in the districts.
This was decided at a meeting of the Haj Committee held at the Haj House on Saturday.
The Haj forms to the intending Haj Pilgrims will be sent to the voluntary Haj Societies of districts who are rendering services to Haj Pilgrims since the past several years.
The meeting decided to provide better facilities and amenities to Haj Pilgrims right from their filing of applications till their arrival back in the country after the pilgrimage.
The Committee will visit the GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and ask authorities to extend the area of the Haj Terminal, provide facilities to the pilgrims besides larger areas for prayers for ladies, gents and visitors, a shade for visitors and an RTC Bus Shed.
Chairman Janab Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed also approved the Haj Society of Nizamabad district which is supervised by Janab Habeebuddin Ahmed, member of the committee.
The meeting was presided over by the Haj Committee Chairman, and was attended by members Syed Raza Hussain Azad, Shaik Shareef, Alhaj Mohammed Pasha, Rahmatullah Khan, Maleka Begum, Mahmood Hussain and Mohammed Baig. Executive Officer Habeebuddin Ahmed presented the report.
