Ranga Reddy Court Dismisses Jani Master Bail Petition

The Ranga Reddy district POCSO court today dismissed the bail petition filed by noted choreographer Jani Master in a sexual assault case against him involving a minor.

He was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his assistant choreographer.

He was then handed over to police custody for investigation.

Jani had urged the court to grant him interim bail as he had to go to Delhi to receive a National Award, and the court allowed it. However, the Union government took an unexpected decision to cancel the award to him due to the sexual assault case. He later moved a regular bail petition and urged the court to grant him bail. The court, after conducting a hearing today, decided that bail could not be granted. The court agreed with the argument of the Narsingi police that there was a possibility of threatening the victim and the witnesses due to the seriousness of the case.
