CM Reviews Arrangements For Ramzan
Uninterrupted power supply to mosques, an additional quota of milk and sugar, and other facilities, are in the offing.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday directed his officials to make elaborate arrangements for Ramzan, the holy month of Islam that begins next week.
Addressing a review meeting along with elected representatives and officials at Jubilee Hall, the CM said special focus should be given to the maintenance of law and order, as Ramzan coincides with the Bonalu festival.
He directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness in the city, especially around mosques and other places of worship.
He asked power utilities to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the month of Ramzan. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has been asked to supply adequate water to mosques in view of high consumption during the season.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also asked the Civil Supplies Department to ensure additional quota of sugar and proper supply of other commodities during Ramzan. He said that the Dairy Development Corporation would make special arrangements for the supply of milk for Eid-ul-Fitr.
The CM directed the Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, Ahmed Nadeem, to coordinate with other officials across the state, regarding Ramzan arrangements.
The MIM president asked the government to provide mobile transformers to the Old City to ensure uninterrupted power supply. He also stressed on the supply of additional water for mosques.
Ministers S M Ahmedullah, M Maheedhar Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, D Nagender and M Mukesh Goud; Chief Secretary P K Mohanty; Rajya Sabha MP M A Khan; Minorities Commission Chairman Abid Rasool Khan; MLC Mohammad Ali Shabbir, and senior officials of different departments took part in the meeting. (INN)
