Telangana Government To Distribute 4.50 Lakh Ramzan Gift Packets
The Telangana government will distribute 4.5 lakh gift packages (clothes), and conduct Iftar dinners at 815 mosques, during the holy month of Ramzan 2024.

The Telangana government will distribute 4.5 lakh gift packages (clothes) to the poorest of the poor, and conduct Iftar dinners at 815 mosques throughout the State, during the holy month of Ramzan 2024.
"The gift packets will be distributed in 448 mosques across the GHMC limits. They include two mosques in each GHMC ward, four mosques in each of the 24 Assembly constituencies, 16 mosques in the Secunderabad Cantonment and 19 mosques of Shia, Mehedvia and other orphanages," said Advisor to the Telangana Government (SC, ST, OBC & Minority Welfare) Mohammed Ali Shabbir.
Iftar would be hosted for 500 people in each of the 448 GHMC area mosques, covering about 2.24 lakh people, he added.
In the rest of the State, Iftar dinners would be hosted and gift packages distributed in 367 mosques/locations. Thus, Iftar dinners and distribution of gift packets would happen in 815 mosques across Telangana, Shabbir Ali said.
The conduct of Dawat-e-Iftar and distribution of gift packets (clothes) throughout the State, as well as the Chief Minister's Iftar dinner, will be done under the supervision of a high-level committed headed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka as Chairman and Shabbir Ali as Vice Chairman. Senior officials, including the Principal Secretary of GAD, the Special Secretary to the Minority Welfare Department, the Commissioner of Minorities Welfare, the GHMC Commissioner, and the Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda, are the other committee members.
Shabbir Ali also said that elaborate arrangements were being made for the Iftar dinner to be hosted by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the L B Stadium on Friday.
