Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday informed that the Telangana Congress would organise a "Rahul Rythu Sandesh Yatra" in Karimnagar on May 2.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, VHR said that AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had broadly explained the problems being faced by the farmers across the country during the Kisan Rally held in New Delhi on April 19, and during his speech in the Lok Sabha on April 20.
Rao said that Rahul Gandhi's message for the farmers would also be conveyed through the Rahul Rythu Sandesh Yatra to be organised across Telangana before the end of the monsoons.
He said that Rahul Gandhi too had been invited to tour Telangana to interact with the farmers.
VHR said that Rahul had already visited the Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar districts and interacted with the farmers there.
He said that the tours would be held on a large scale, and that all leaders of the Telangana Congress would participate in the yatra. (INN)
