Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao alleged that the TRS government had failed completely in solving the problems of the people.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, VHR asked the State government why it was not discussing the farmers' suicides issue by convening a Cabinet meeting.
He said that farmers were committing suicides due to being neck-deep in debts. He also alleged that the Telangana government had killed the self-respect of the Telangana farmers by trying to misrepresent to the people the reason for Limbaiah's suicide.
He also asked the Congress leaders to extend whatever help they could to the farmers, instead of confining themselves to criticising the TRS government.
Alleging also that the Central government was concentrating only on passing the Land Acquisition Act, VHR criticized the Centre for not conducting a study on farmers' suicides in Telangana and elsewhere.
