Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas on Monday stated that certain vested elements are trying to disturb peace in the state.
Talking to media persons after hoisting the national flag at Gandhi Bhavan to mark Quit India Movement Day celebrations, DS said the Congress party has the responsibility of saving the nation from these anti-social elements.
The PCC chief called upon all party leaders to unite and fight against divisive forces and work for the integration of the country.
He asked party activists to follow the footsteps of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, all their lives.
PCC official spokesperson M Thulasi Reddy, MLC Gidugu Rudraraju and other office-bearers were present.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah did not turn up for the program.
