KTR Slams Government Over Demolitions In Warangal

The BRS leader asked Rahul Gandhi if the demolitions of houses were being carried out merely to beautify the area for the Miss World beauty pageant.
Hyderabad | 14th May 2025
BRS working president K T Rama Rao today strongly criticised the Congress-led State government for "demolishing" the houses of the poor using bulldozers.

KTR asked Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi about the demolition of houses located along the roadside in Warangal city to beautify the city for the Miss World contestant visits.

"Hello Rahul Gandhi... Does your Congress government have a secret agreement with bulldozer companies? (sic)" KTR asked in a post on his X account.

He demanded that Gandhi respond to what he described as inhumane actions being carried out daily in the city against the homes and livelihoods of poor families.

"Why were the houses along the road in Warangal demolished? Was this done merely to beautify the area for the Miss World beauty pageant? Is this what public governance looks like?" he asked.

Calling the demolitions completely inhuman, the BRS leader expressed outrage over what he termed as the government's insensitivity.
