Protesting Anti-CAA leaders Arrested In City
Leaders of the Left parties and the Telangana Jana Samithi today staged protests against the CAA and participated in a rally on the issue, resulting in their arrests.

Leaders of the Left parties and the Telangana Jana Samithi today staged protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and participated in a rally on the issue.
CPI leaders K Narayana, Chada Venkat Reddy and Aziz Pasha, CPM leaders Thammineni Veerabhadram, Narasimha Reddy and Narsing Rao, TJS chief M Kodandaram, MLC Nardi Reddy and others staged protests.
They also participated in the protest rally from the Exhibition Grounds to the Public Gardens at Nampally against the CAA.
The police intervened and arrested the leaders as there was no permission for the rallies. The protesting leaders got into an argument with the police who first tried to thwart their rally, resulting in the former being taken into custody.
Aziz Pasha was arrested at the Nampally railway station.
The protestors demanded the rescinding of the CAA as it was against the Constitution. The BJP government was playing a communal card for political gain, they said.
TJS chief Kodandaram said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was adopting double standards on the CAA issue.
