Kodandaram, Chada Venkat Reddy Arrested At Elkathurthy
The police arrested the TJS chief and the CPI state secretary when they staged a protest in support of farmers at Elkathurthy in Warangal Urban district.
The police today arrested Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) chief M Kodandaram and CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy when they staged a protest in support of farmers at Elkathurthy in Warangal Urban district, demanding that the state government solve the problems of the farmers.
The Left parties and the TJS unitedly staged a sadak bandh and went on a sit-in on the Karimnagar-Warangal and Siddipet-Warangal national highways. As part of it, Kodandaram and Chada staged a dharna on the road at Elkathurthy.
Police rushed to the spot in large numbers and arrested both the leaders. They were released later.
