Audience were on Sunday mesmerized by the dance program 'Project Bandaloop' organized on the walls of the historic Golconda Fort.
The vertical dances were carried out by members of the Aerial Vertical Dance Company's 'Project Worldloop', and the program was jointly organized by the American Consulate General and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism department.
The event began at 2:30pm ,under the direction of the choreographer Amelia Rudolf.
Project Bandaloop has, so far, performed in 12 countries in 5 continents. The dancers have performed at the New York Stock Exchange, Seattle Space Needle, Brazil IBM Headquarters, St George Castle in Mantova, Italy, Singapore National Museum, Public Library in New San Francisco and the International Airport Terminal in San Francisco. The troupe chose Golconda Fort as their stage for their 13th performance.
Project Bandaloop, with 11 members, has 8 artistes in their group.
This program was organized to give solidarity to the Society To Save Rocks, a community that works for the preservation of granite formations of the Deccan Plateau.
The specialty of Bandaloop is that artistes perform feats in the air at height of a 1,000 feet. This is the first time that such an event was organized outdoors in India.
