President Ram Nath Kovind will reach Hyderabad on December 29 as part of the President's annual Southern sojourn.
According to reports, the President will arrive in the city at the Begumpet airport in a special IAF flight on December 29.
The President will stay till January 3 at the Rashtrapathi Nilayam located at Bolarum in Secunderabad.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar directed the officials concerned to make all the necessary arrangements for the President's visit and tour, including repairing the roads leading to Rashtrapathi Bhavan in Bolarum, ensuring 24-hour power supply to the complex and deploying medical teams to it.
Kumar also asked the GHMC Commissioner, the Cantonment Board CEO and other officials to coordinate effectively for the regular upkeep of the roads.
The officials have already been busy making the Rashtrapathi Nilayam ready.
As mentioned, the President will stay in the city for six days. He will attend some official programs during his tour.
