President Ram Nath Kovind today arrived in Hyderabad in a special IAF flight for his winter stay of four days as part of his annual southern sojourn.
The President was accorded a warm welcome at the Hakimpet airport by Governor E S L Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and others.
Accompanied by his wife Savitha Kovind, the President drove to the Rashtrapathi Nilayam in Bolarum, Secunderabad, where he will stay till December 27.
The Governor arranged a dinner for the First Couple at Raj Bhavan on Sunday night. Besides Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, his cabinet colleagues and officials, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will also attend the dinner hosted by the Governor.
The President will also host "At Home" for the Governor and Chief Minister at Rashtrapathi Bhavan on December 26. Deputy Chief Ministers Mahamood Ali and Kadiam Srihari, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Ministers G Jagadish Reddy and Mahender Reddy, Rajya Sabha member and TRS secretary-general K Keshava Rao, Telangana Chief Secretary S P Singh, DGP Mahender Reddy and others will be present.
