Post-Protest, Congress Mocks Secretariat Demolition

TPCC Vice-President Mallu Ravi alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to relocate the Secretariat for his personal beliefs.
Hyderabad | 10th November 2016
Pointing out that several leaders had worked and completed their tenure in the Secretariat complex successfully in the past, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Vice-President Mallu Ravi alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to relocate the Secretariat for his personal beliefs.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Ravi said that while the then Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy went on to become the President of India, P V Narasimha Rao had become the Prime Minister. Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Marri Channa Reddy and Jalagam Vengal Rao had become Union ministers. Therefore the safety of the building or that of KCR's tenure did not depend on beliefs such as "Vaastu".

The current Chief Minister's decision to demolish the Secretariat was nothing but a burden on the treasury, Reddy claimed.

He also alleged that the police personnel were behaving like KCR's private army and were behaving rudely towards protesters in front of the Secretariat.
