Bursting Crackers Banned In Public Spaces In City

The Hyderabad Police banned bursting firecrackers in public spaces during Diwali from October 29 to November 1, between 10 pm and 6 am.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy today issue orders banning the fireworks and bursting of crackers in public spaces during Diwali on October 29 to November 1 from 10 pm to 6 am.

The Police Commissioner stated that in accordance with the direction of the Supreme Court, there shall be a complete ban on bursting high volume firecrackers in the public spaces including roads in Hyderabad and Secunderabad between 10 pm and 6 am.

Additionally, decibels of crackers, drums and other instruments between 10 pm and 6 am should not exceed the permissible limits as notified by the Pollution Control Board, he said.

The Commissioner warned that any person violating the order would be prosecuted under law.
