The Hyderabad police today foiled the "Chalo DGP Office" protest of BJYM activists demanding that the State government render "justice" to SI and police constable post aspirants.
A tussle was witnessed between the police and the activists to overpower each other for some time, and BJYM State president Bhanu Prakash fell unconscious in the scuffle.
The police allegedly resorted to lathi-charge on Bhanu Prakash even after he fell unconscious, and caused injuries to him.
BJYM activists took him to Global Hospital where he was admitted to the emergency wing and provided treatment.
Other activists of the organisation including Arun Kumar and Pullela Shiva also sustained injuries in the attack.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar condemned the lathi-charge on the party's activists by the police. He alleged that the KCR government had first failed to hold the exams properly, and was now resorting to suppressing the voices of dissent.
