Permissions Given For Film And TV Shootings In State

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today gave permission for film and TV program shootings in the state, with some riders.
Hyderabad | 8th June 2020
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today gave permission for film and TV program shootings in the state, with a rider that they should follow the Covid-19 guidelines and lockdown conditions.

He signed on the file pertaining to the permission at his camp Office in the city.

The CM said that shootings could be held with limited staff and by following the guidelines issued by the government from time to time.

Post-production works have also been permitted on the same lines.

The government refused to give permission for film theatres to open for the public as the union government guidelines bar that.

Several prominent film personalities had met the CM recently and requested him to give permission for film/TV shootings and post-production works, as well as opening of film theatres for the public. Responding positively to their demand, the CM had asked the officials concerned to prepare the guidelines. With this, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and prominent film personalities met and prepared the draft guidelines.

The film personalities gave an assurance that they would conduct the shootings and post-production works with a limited number of people, and abide by the guidelines of the state. Based on this the CM decided to give permissions for shootings and post-production works.
