Newly-appointed Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Botsa Satyanarayana met the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today at the Secretariat.
The Congress party has been on a general decline in the state after YSR's death, what with crisis after another - political, civil and economical - being hurled at it. Inefficient chief ministers and problem child Y S Jaganmohan Reddy have only compounded the Congress' problems.
It was with the vision of revitalizing the Congress that Botsa Satyanarayana was made the chief of the Pradesh Congress Committee, and he seems to be taking his job quite seriously.
His meeting with the CM, which lasted for about an hour, saw the 2 heads discuss the state's politics, and mainly strategies to strengthen the Congress in Andhra Pradesh.
Botsa plans to conduct party meetings at the district level across the state, which will also involve the CM.
The issue of how to rein in Jagan's supporters was also discussed in the meeting.
