Purandeswari Hints At PCC Changes
The Congress high command has already focused its attention on revamping the party in AP, she says.

Union Minister of state for Human Resources Development Daggubati Purandeswari, on Sunday, stated that the Congress high command has already focused its attention on revamping the party in AP.
Talking to media persons, Purandeswari said that the high command has received reports from the party about the recent drubbing in the by-elections, and that it was analyzing the reasons that led to the humiliating defeat.
She said that the high command would recommend a slew of measures to strengthen the party rank and file, apart from improving the party's image through the implementation of people's welfare projects and schemes.
Purandeswari said that both chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana have conducted review meetings over the party's failure with ground-level workers, and received vital information in this regard.
Apart from this, the CM and the PCC president conducted one-on-one meetings with District Congress committee presidents and other local leaders, to discuss the defeat, she said.
She said that after holding elaborate discussions, the party would finalise the recommendations for strengthening the party for the 2014 general elections. She expressed confidence that the party would win a majority of seats in the 2014 elections. (INN)
