Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy's highly abusive tirade against TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan yesterday led to violence between Jana Sena and YSR Congress Party activists today.
At a rally yesterday about the shifting of the Andhra Pradesh capital from Amaravathi, Reddy had called Chandrababu Naidu a "vedhava" and a "l*** k***u". He had also called Pawan Kalyan a "l***a" and a "d**a na k***u".
Jana Sena activists responded by congregating at the MLA's house today to protest and demand an apology. However, YSR Congress Party activists too soon landed there and stone pelting resulted.
Responding to that, Pawan Kalyan said, "It is very unfortunate that the YSRCP workers pelted stones at Jana Sena party workers and leaders while they were observing a silent protest against the derogatory remarks made by a people's representative. Everyone is finding fault with the MLA and his vulgar remarks. Don't think that Jana Sainiks will keep quiet if anarchic forces resort to attacks when we are trying to highlight the mistakes of the State government. Jana Sena's policy is to condemn iniquitous actions."
"We demand that the officials initiate action as per the law against the MLA. We also request the district police to take steps to restore peace by holding talks with the two groups without any bias. I will swing into action directly from Delhi to Kakinada to support the party workers and leaders if they are put to inconvenience and given injustice. I wish Jana Sena workers and leaders who were injured in the stone-pelting, an early recovery. Every Jana Sainik must extend his/her solidarity and extend support to them," he added.
