Reacting sharply to the demolitions, the Hyderabad MP asked the government what it would do about the government buildings in the FTL zone of the Hussain Sagar.
The issue of the HYDRA demolitions has become a hot topic in the State. Opposition leaders are protesting the unilateral demolition of "illegal" structures by the government authorities.
MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi too made comments on the issue. Reacting sharply to the demolitions, he asked the State government what it would do about the government buildings built in the FTL zone of the Hussain Sagar lake. He also said that the Necklace Road was built within the FTL zone, and that the GHMC office was built in a water pond, and asked if those two would also be demolished.
Owaisi's comments have become a topic of discussion in the State.
Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy too had important comments on the ongoing demolitions. He said that it was the responsibility of everyone to protect Hyderabad, and that the government had decided to demolish the structures built by encroaching ponds under any pressure.
"Everyone has seen what happened in Chennai, Uttarakhand and Wayanad. The demolition of illegal structures in ponds and lakes has been undertaken for the future generations," the CM claimed.
